Repent and reform

First of all, I would like to say that everyone must face their highlight and depression thoughout their life. As each undergoes and experiences afterward, they may find his or her own direction of life. It can not only strengthen the physical resistance but reinforce the ability to cope with mental pressure. Therefore, in my opinion, I do think no matter whoever does something wrong and loathsome in private or public. Only if the behaviors are too extravagant, we ought to give them an opportunity to repent and reform themselves.
From my viewpoint, I do believe that Spears has totally changed herself and manages to compensate for her former misbehaviors. Perhaps, some people still feel disappointed so that they can't be convinced of her change. However, to think it in the differently angle, as a guity person is willing to confess and change, it stands for that her mind is still well-disposed, only because she goes astray for a short while. If I was her family or friend, my view would be the same as it. As an ancient saying goes,"Life is neither comedy nor tragedy, just reality." Next time we meet challenge or get depressed, we should tell us that it's the chance to change.

  1. I have to say I don’t know much about Britney Spears, but from this short paragraph along with the pictures I somehow get a rough idea that this is a person who, after leading a bohemian life, tries to repent and give herself a rebirth. Though celebrities like Britney Spears are usually treated with higher moral standards and not allowed to make mistakes since they’re in some way the public’s role model (think of politicians in Taiwan; once misbehave, leave office), I still believe that everyone has a chance to repent and that they are sincere when they do say they want to repent. Yesterday when I was reading Piers Plowman by William Langland, a passage impressed me. Its main idea: the very first human sinned because he was tricked by the beguiling devil, not because he wanted to. So nobody is really bad in nature, and nobody should be damned forever in Hell. Britney Spears, in spite of her position as a celebrity, is a just human like you and me; she is fallible just like everybody else. So if she was determined to change and did change afterwards, I would surely appreciate it and give her an enthusiastic applause.

  2. I find that our thoughts are similar.:) In fact, we all are likely to make the mistakes sometimes. If we are not allowed to reform it, I do think our life may be a bit stressful for we ought to be careful with our deeds. Therefore, I think our attitude towards this matter is positive. And we should hold on it.
