With the convenience and progress of the Internet, we gradually seem to be incapable of living without it in our daily life. This trend also influence on the school's teaching and the way students use to access the information. Frankly speaking, I consider that education should be continuously renovate and improve in order to catch up with the pace of other countries. After all, the contention of one's country depends on its educational policies. For this reason, I really appreciate the way American college students use to learn things and enrich themselves. In contrast, listening to the lectures and studying the textbooks are still my learning ways. Nothing special and innovative can stimulate me. That is why I want to get rid of the former learning way and change it to the new method. By using this method, we can easily acquire the latest and the abundant resources. Besides, it also lets us take the lessons and learns at our convenience because of wireless network.
However, anything must have its pros and cons. We should notice the negative effects this learning way may bring about. Although networked student can get enough information via Internet, here comes an important thing: to select the truly things you need. And staying all day long in front of the screen also does harm to our body and reduces the interaction with each other. Consequently, as we online for 4 or more hours, do not forget to participate in some activities outdoors.

I try to make sure whether the response posting in your blog works.
This video clip tries to promote networked learning, which is pretty good but a little too avant-garde that the educators of most Asian countries cannot and adopt. Personally I think this is a quite innovative way of learning things and it breaks the limitation that textbook and regular classes and semester courses set. However, I still find our traditional way of learning and attending classes necessary because, just you said, selecting the credible information and resources most suitable students is too difficult a task in the boundless Internet, even when there are teachers helping them. We have to first learn the basic knowledge and skill from the concrete textbooks along with teacher’s lectures, which are essential to our further, independent study. Traditional way of learning is necessary also because it serves to force those less motivated students, who may not even start their learning under the freedom of networked learning, to learn. To conclude, I think the better way is to integrate these two methods; we should first equip ourselves with the basics and then we are qualified to learn by the more advanced method.
回覆刪除I really appreciate the way you bring about to learn. The traditional method of learning is still indispensable for most of students in Taiwan. And due to the time we have carried out it is long, it can not be easily changed to the new one. Moreover, we are not sure whether this way of learning is suitable. Consequently, the hybrid may be the best choice.
